Sanofi China Successfully Held Its Innovation Day with an Internal Startup Demo Day and External DTx Roadshow Event

Jan.15th, 2021, China, Shanghai – iHUB, a digital medical innovation platform owned by Sanofi, the world’s leading pharmaceutical and healthcare company, successfully held its Innovation Day with an internal demo day in the afternoon and an external roadshow in the evening, both focusing on its innovation aims in the year.

9 startups: Unisound, Whale, Haici Technology, ZHUIYI Technology, Kiwi, Palan DataRx, Recovery Plus, Best Covered, and Laiye are invited to present their digital solutions in terms of customer experience, digital marketing, DTx and Data, and common ground with Sanofi on Demo Day. The nine startups demonstrated their key products and highlighted some solutions to cover Sanofi business pain points. During the startup’s demonstration, Sanofi’s business unit heads show great interest in some potential innovation and improvement that startups may bring.

The Demo Day attracted more than fifty participants including 30 business unit heads. It was kicked off by a warm welcome address by the host Yifei Fan, External innovation Lead at Sanofi. To begin, Marie Chavanon, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Sanofi was invited to give a pep talk to participants, which is followed by a panel discussion that many business unit heads joined to brief their digital innovation challenges. At the event, Sanofi China BU heads also addressed their innovation scope and expectation for cooperating with digital startups. The Demo Day was followed by an external innovation roadshow focusing on the theme DTx which is also an important pillar of Sanofi China’s innovation scope this year.

Marie Chavanon, Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Sanofi was invited to give a speech, she said: “Technological innovation is reshaping the future healthcare. As an early digital innovation market entrant in the pharmaceutical industry, Sanofi has not only worked hard in China for the past ten years to explore how to leverage digital capabilities to empower primary care, but also is committed to discovering potential startup companies in the Chinese market through its innovation hub, helping them to land a product from idea to commercialization, and incubating a new ecosystem of medical digital innovation industry.”

Focusing on the theme of “DTx: Empowerment of the Future Patient Digital Care Era”, the panel guests exchanged and engaged in in-depth dialogue on topics as “Digital Medicine Landing in China” and “How to Promote digital Medicine and Traditional Medicine complement each other”, analyzing the current digital medical development pattern, exploring future market potential, and exploring new industry growth highlights. The event is part of the Sanofi China Dream and Go series.

Senior practitioners from the field of medical digitalization and representatives of the new generation of companies shared their thoughts on cutting-edge medical technology achievements and future trends at the event and jointly discussed how innovation can reshape the new world medical landscape.
